It has been quite sometime since our last update to iConverse. We have been hard at work taking suggestions from our users. This release marks a lot of hard work by our team, and we hope everyone finds the changes useful. The feature we are most excited about is the ability to record voices! Recording will work on iPhone and iPodtouch devices with a compatible microphone accessory. In addition we have also:

  • Added more voices
  • Added the ability to re-order tiles
  • Added the ability to turn editing off (done via the settings application)
  • When editing is turned off, view custom tiles 6 to a screen

We look forward to your feedback, and hope you find these new features helpful!  We’ll be posting some new videos and information soon.

    Design Assitance By Ian Walden

    Ian Walden holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication. He has been working in the special needs community for over 8 years. He currently works in a community based teaching program in a public high school where his students are constantly interacting with the general population. As a teacher, Ian saw there was a need for his students to have a communication device that would be very basic, affordable, and easily transported. With this type of device, his students would be able to interact in community settings such as malls, grocery stores, hospitals, etc., with very little outside assistance.
